Specifications

NSGCS can provide fully comprehensive specifications for virtually every stained glass window project.

We can ensure you have the proper specifications for everything from site preparation, removals, board ups, historical restoration, installations, materials, frame repair and maintenance and protective covering systems. We can help put together preventative maintenance plans and schedules to ensure you are keeping your windows in good condition.

In addition to our comprehensive specifications we also provide our project management service which takes the guesswork out of whether a contractor is performing according to specifications. We are also experienced in working with architects, engineers and general contractors.

We see all too often churches or owners of stained glass windows receiving multiple bids for a project. Quite often the recommendations vary substantially from one studio to the other. How do you sort through the bids to know what’s true and accurate, or more importantly what’s in the best interest of your stained glass windows preservation and conservation?

Many owners will get several bids in order to compare apples to apples. When reading proposals from different studios, they may appear to have the same terms or recommendations, however the difference is in the details, or more often in the unwritten details. If you were to ask 4 different construction companies to build you a house with a written proposal and without blueprints, they will all have different results in the end.

Did you know that releading a stained Glass window and historical restoration of a stained glass window are not the same?

Did you know there are different installation requirements and specifications between glass and plastic protective covering systems?

What is the best method of venting a stained glass window?

We have the answers and will provide you the proper specifications for your project.
